    What is serratiopeptidase?

Serrapeptase was first extracted from the secretion of Serratia e15 in the intestines of silkworms in 1960 and was named after it. As a proteolytic enzyme, serrapeptase can break down proteins into amino acids and belongs to the same category as pepsin, trypsin, bromelain and papain. After oral administration of serrapeptase, it needs to be absorbed into the blood through the gastrointestinal tract.
Serrapeptase has the ability to dissolve proteins and inhibit inflammatory substances, and is often used as a phlegm and suppuration drug. In addition, it can promote cell regeneration and wound healing. When used in combination with antibiotics, serrapeptase can produce a synergistic effect and enhance the antibacterial effect of antibiotics, so it has important application value in trauma medicine.

    What are the benefits?

    Anti-inflammatory Effects
Shreptase and nattokinase are not digestive enzymes but proteases that affect inflammation and blood coagulation. Although they do not affect digestion, they have broad benefits. Shreptase has been commonly used as an anti-inflammatory supplement, with supporting data for its use dating back over thirty years.
    Treatment of Respiratory Infections
The mucus barrier is the first line of defense against respiratory infections. Proteases such as Shreptase and bromelain help reduce mucus thickness while increasing mucus production and significantly accelerating the transportation of mucus through the respiratory tract, until it is swallowed or expelled from the body.
The mechanisms of proteases like Shreptase and bromelain include:
    ● Reducing mucus thickness: Proteases break down the proteins in mucus, reducing its viscosity and making it flow more easily.
    ● Increasing mucus production: Proteases stimulate the production of mucus, increasing its quantity, which helps form a more effective mucus barrier.
    ● Promoting mucus transport in the respiratory tract: Proteases help accelerate the movement of mucus through the respiratory tract, allowing it to more quickly clear potential pathogens and harmful substances.
    ● Enhancing mucus mechanical effects: Proteases improve the flow of mucus, increasing its clearance efficiency in the respiratory tract.

    Application direction

The serratiopeptidase powder we supply is raw material and is used as an additive to medical and health care products, not for direct use.
