What is azelaic acid?
Azelaic acid, also known as azelaic acid, is a white crystalline dicarboxylic acid naturally found in cereals, rye, and barley. It is a naturally occurring saturated dicarboxylic acid with numerous pharmacological properties, including antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, regulating hair follicle keratinization, inhibiting oil secretion, reducing pigmentation, and inhibiting cell proliferation.
